- A Spectacular Cast Appeared at the Press Conference of the 5th Okinawa International Movie Festival! (2)

The comedy duo Garage Sale, Tamako Miyagawa and different cast members from ‘community-based movies’ such as Mika Hijii, Akina Aoshima, Aoi Koizumi, Yui Egashira and Ami Kurata came on stage.
The director of the movie “Duty Cyborg Itoman,” Gori of Garage Sale, commented on the film. “Civil servants may be anxious about the title. I got an offer to shoot the community-based movie in a city in the most southern part of Okinawa. I thought I wanted people to remember the name of the city if Itoman, so I made a hero.”
His comedy partner Kawata displayed his enthusiasm. “I’m looking forward to enjoying the event and to entertain the audience at the event in this year. Okinawan residents look like they are excited!”
Hanako Miyagawa’s appeared with a pink tweed jacket. But her dark leggings and sandals offered a mixed-message on the weather. Fujii joked, “people expect Okinawa to be hot, but it’s surprisingly cold sometime, so this may be the best choice.”
Mika Hijii who acted in the movie “Retrospective Love” said, “I had a love scene with Baba from the act Robert. The director told me it was a great scene that will have a place in film history, so please look out for to it.”
Akina Aoshima, who appears in “Umesuzu Meshi,” commented, “My role depicts a person who is conflicted over whether to pursue her dream in Tokyo or stay in Miyazaki. I could empathize with the character.”
Koizumi, who stars in “The Real Hardboiled Comedian Eiji,” looked back on performing with Hide from Penalty. “Hide’s hometown is close to mine, so we talked about the subject many times.”
Yui Egashira, who acted in “Niimi's OTOGIBANASHI (a fairy tale),” smiled to herself while she spoke about the film. “When the master Sakata was shooting, we were always laughing. It was a light and friendly atmosphere. Sakata act is funny….I hope many people will watch it.” Ami Kurata, whose role was that of the sister of Matsuda from Hiking Walking in “INABE” said, “I’m actually is younger than him. But Matsuda has an elder sister and I have a younger brother. So I was able to understand the relationship of the characters, and it naturally fit into the role.”
The band The Boom, who appear in the film “THE BOOM: a Tale of Shima Uta,” sent a video message. Miyazawa said “We have a performance at the beach stage on 30th, so please come and join us.”
