5th OKINAWA INTERNATIONAL MOVIE FESTIVAL

Related OIMF events are taking place at “J:COM Wonder Studio” in Tokyo Sky Tree Town.

The CS Japanese cable system movie channel “Movie Plus” (management: Jupiter Entertainment Co., Ltd.) approved one of the programs of 5^th Okinawa International Movie Festival. The broadcast will start from Saturday March 23^rd and be part of the  “Community based projects / Community based movie.” Its main point is to create movies based in Okinawa and other regions. It is publicizing the section of the fest supporting OIMF.

So Movie Plus and Yoshimoto Kogyo co. Ltd decided to hold “Movie Plus presents Okinawa International Movie Festival at J:COM Wonder Studio” from Friday 1^st to Saturday 30^th March. You can experience OIMF even if you are in Tokyo at J:COM Wonder Studio (Tokyo Soramachi East yard 5^th floor at Tokyo Sky Tree Town). This event will suggest and popularize new ways of enjoying multi-channel broadcasts by Jupiter Telecommunications which is the biggest cable TV company in Japan.

As the main program of the event, there will be film screenings created for Community based Projects. Also Yoshimoto comedians who will be ambassadors of OIMF will perform every Friday in March on the program “Connecting Go! Go!” which is broadcast to about 9,300,000 families in all over Japan through J:COM HD channel.  They inform viewers of the latest information about OIMF with live broadcasts from “J:COM Wonder Studio”. 

Movie Plus will also organize 5 special works using the concept “Laugh & Peace,” the motto of the festival. They will create a 5-minute special program to explain the charms of the movie festival. These programs will be a joy for movie fans around the country.    

An outline of the “Movie Plus Okinawa International Movie Festival at J:COM Wonder Studio”:  

The term: Friday 1^st March to Saturday 30^th March 2013

The contents:

1-    A photo studio where you use an OIMF background will be set up for a limited time. Pictures will be uploaded to J:COM’s facebook everyday around 9 to 10 pm, and it will be possible to download and share them.     

2-    Film screenings of Community based Movies will be held in the weekday evenings. On Wednesday 20^th March (a national holiday), there will be a screening of 10 works. 

3-    Yoshimoto comedians will perform on the information program “Connecting Go! Go!” which is broadcasting on the J:COM HD channel for 4 continuous  weeks. There will be a live broadcasting through “J:COM Wonder Studio”.

The outline of the program “Connecting Go! Go!”

This show follows from the program “Connecting Seven,” which started as the first live relay broadcast between J:COM and Cable TV 2 years ago. The program succeeded connecting Japan and is a powerful communication tool. Also there are live relay broadcasts everyday from “J:COM Wonder Studio” at Tokyo Sora machi East yard 5^th floor, Tokyo Sky Tree Town. It will connect the Sky Tree with the rest of Japan and the viewer. Anyone in a building equipped with J:COM can watch it free charge.    

Everyday Monday to Friday 11:15 to 12:54 am, there will be a live relay broadcast for the whole country, Rebroadcast 10 to 11pm
