This is the film adaptation of the comic book "Come-to-Tokyo Story", which is an autobiography of a popular cartoonist, Rieko Saibara. Her other successful cartoon series "Everyday Mom" has been printed in the Mainichi Newspaper morning editions since 2002 and was adapted for TV animation program by TV Tokyo's affiliated stations in 2009.
This is also a sequel of the film "A Girl's Story" starring Eri Fukatsu in 2009, and the director Toshiyuki Morioka also directed "A Girl's Story" cinematizing Saibara's production once again.
The leading role is played by Kii Kitano, one of the most talented young actresses in Japan right now. She beautifully portrays the role of Natsumi. One of the co-stars, Sosuke Ikematsu who is one of the most attention-grabbing young actors in films and dramas these days, plays the role of Natsumi's boyfriend. Toshiyuki Morioka, who won the Special Award in Tokyo International Film Festival with the film "Tears of a Kitten" and directed "A Girls's Story" (also a film adaptation of a comic book by Rieko Saibara), wrote the screenplay.
