Hushpuppy, a six-year-old girl, lives with her father on "Bathtub Island" at the edge of the world. One night, a storm comes and takes everything away from her - her favorite places, favorite sounds and even favorite people...

After the storm passed, her father told her to "be strong". And she started to gain understanding of courage and how to live her life –  to save the world.

This is a girl's coming-of-age story created by a 29 year-old first-time director, Ben Zeitlin. This film, which shows you a creative and fantasic world through the eyes of a six-year-old girl, Hushpuppy, at the same time has you experience a skillfully portrayed tough reality in a very unique way. It enthralled the audience, and won the Grand Prix and Best Cinematography Award at the Sundance Film Festival. In Cannes Film Festival, it won four awards including the Camera d'Or, which is an award for a first-time director. In this year's Oscars, it was nominated for four major categories, Best Picture, Best Director, Leading Actress (the youngest ever), and Best Adapted Screenplay.

This miraculous film loved by the whole world is finally going to be released in Japan.
