Late March in Okinawa is a beautiful season. The sky is blue and the waves are shining. The 5th Okinawa International Movie Festival will finally be held in this beautiful season.

Over the last four festivals, we have enjoyed a wonderful journey through the world of movies in pursuit of the theme of this Movie Festival, “Laugh & Peace”. Okinawa – Cultures from around the world converge on this beautiful city to share fun and moving films with the people of the world at this movie festival, and it is a great pleasure to be involved. This year’s Okinawa International Movie Festival has a special meaning for us. This is because the film “Blue Bird” is to be screened, which was a co-production between Yoshimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Salon Films (Hong Kong) Ltd. Because this movie is the result of cooperation between movie people in Japan and Hong Kong, in working together to create a piece of art. It is my hope that everyone who visits this movie festival will enjoy and be moved by this work.

Finally, it is the deepest desire of all of us at Salon Films (Hong Kong) that this 5th Okinawa International Movie Festival will be a great success.
